Week 2: Run for the Hills

NFL coaches like to encourage their team 'to start fast & finish strong.' If you were to look in on Sludge's Saturday with this bookend perspective, then consider the professional (sports) advice heeded.

::Game 1::
After a slow, yet anticipated arrival to Mhills, Sludge made landfall as a Category 5. Reinforcements arrived in time for a full squad by mid-first half. Good short cuts to open space, excellent movement of the spinning disc and hurried damage to FC's offense led to a +1 lead at half.

Near the shore of the end zone was where the real destruction was felt. Kinda slugly, sometimes slilly & always sloppy (<-- hey, that one works). A bit of a disaster as Sludge attempted the lesser known waterfront-retaining-wall offense. This horizontal spreading just didn't work well to foster points. The game remained close as Sludge survived the subprime crisis @ 13 all, but dropped like Wall Street. Loss 13-15.

::Game Scrimmage 2::
Re-Run was lacking running mates so the game was downgraded as a play-to-eleven. The game's pace lacked the intensity of category classification formality. With more qualifications than an Alaskan guv,the MJ-less Sludge negotiated a steady flow of accomplishments in the end zone. The Sludge community was well organized for an easy victory 11-4.

::Post ponement of nap Game::
Chips, salsa, guac, chips, salsa, margaritas, pinatas, salsa, cerveza @ Mi Rancho!

::Game Notes::
>Bronchitis & running is not fun.
