nihmovie My exterminator told me the good news about the mouse in my DC house is that means I don't have rats, since mice + rats don't co-habit. Not so at the "Frisby" household.

Paramount to Reanimate ‘Nimh’[nifi . 07.28.09]

Paramount Pictures is putting together another adaptation of “Mrs. Frisby & the Rats of Nimh” with screenwriter Neil Burger (The Illusionist). It will be the second time the book has been brought to the screen after 1982’s The Secret of Nimh. The release by the studio didn’t indicate whether it would be live-action, animated, or a hybrid of the two.

Robert C. O’Brien’s “Rats of NIMH” won the Newbery Medal in 1972 and is about a field mouse who seeks the help of a lab rat colony to save her family. A little known fact about the first movie: lines had to be re-recorded or altered when Wham-O denied a waiver when the main character’s name was similar to their product (the Frisbee). ...
