WFDF Under-24 Ultimate Championships in Germany finished pool play. Fourteen (14) different countries of the 29 total countries are represented in the top tier of teams. Only Canada, Japan, and the United States have all 3 of their teams in the top-8 in each division.

There are fifty-one (51) National ultimate teams from 29 countries are scheduled to compete in the upcoming WFDF World Under-24 Ultimate Championships. There will be 21 mixed teams, 18 teams in the men's division and 12 teams in the women's division at U24 Worlds.

Nine (9) countries will be competing in all 3 divisions (men's, women's and mixed) -- Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Japan, and the United States. The majority of countries (16) are sending one (1) team to this international event.

College Representation on USA National Team Rosters at World Under-24 Championships

WFDF's 2019 World Under-24 Ultimate Championships (WU24) starts this weekend in Germany. USA National Teams will be represented in the men's, mixed and women's divisions. A total of seventy-five (75) players were selected to represent the US on the active rosters; 24 on men's, 26 on mixed, and 25 on the US women's roster.

Carleton College leads with the most players with 10, followed by UNC (6), Oregon (5) and Dartmouth (4). A total of forty-one (41) of colleges are represented on the USA Ultimate National teams at 2019 U24 Worlds.

WFDF 2019 World Under-24 Ultimate Championships (Heidelberg, Germany)

The World Flying Disc Federation 2019 World Under-24 Ultimate Championships (WU24) will be hosted in the city of Heidelberg, Germany, from July 13th to July 20th. The event will feature national Ultimate teams in the following divisions: Men's U24 (18 teams), Women's U24 (12 teams) and Mixed U24 (21 teams). Located about 78 km (48 mi) south of Frankfurt, Heidelberg is the fifth-largest city in the German state of Baden-Württemberg.

There are 51 teams from 29 countries scheduled to compete in the event.

Recap: Semifinalists at 2018 World U24 Ultimate Championships

Of the 20 countries competing in Perth at the U24 Ultimate Championships, seven (7) different countries have advanced to the semi-finals of their divisions.

Of note, Italy (Men) is the only country to advance to the semifinals that did not have teams represented in other divisions.

Country Representation at WFDF Under 24 Worlds 2018

There are 20 different countries - 41 total teams - represented at this year's WFDF World Under-24 Ultimate Championships across the 3 competitive divisions. The divisional breakdown is: sixteen (16) in men's; fourteen (14) in mixed and eleven (11) in women's division.

Nine (9) countries are represented in all 3 divisions; three (3) countries have 2 teams and eight (8) countries have 1 team. Of the countries with one team at U24 Worlds, four (4) are in the men's and4 are in the mixed division; there are no countries with represented by only a women's division team.

The next edition of the Under-24 (FKA Under-23) World Ultimate Championships starts on Sunday in Perth, Australia. Previous tournaments have been hosted in Florence, Italy (2010); Toronto, Canada (2013); and London, UK (2015).

Live Stream for WFDF Under-24 Ultimate Championships Scheduled at Under 24 Games

WFDF's World Under-24 Ultimate Championships start on Sunday, January 7th, in Perth, Australia.

The international ultimate tournament has scheduled nearly 200 games over January 7-13, 2018. Yet only a fraction of scheduled games are planned to be streamed by ulti.tv; of the 196 scheduled games only 22 (11.2%) are planned to be broadcast via WFDF YouTube Channel.

The 'under 24' ultimate games of the Under-24 ultimate tournament are less than the "more than 30 games" to be live streamed as promoted in a recent tourney e-newsletter.  

We are looking forward to watching the live stream broadcasts but wish the other 174 u24 ultimate games not on the broadcast schedule could somehow be captured as well.

Down U24 in 2018

The World Flying Disc Federation announced in January 2016 that WFDF's 2018 World Under-24 Ultimate Championships (WU24) will be hosted in the city of Perth (Australia) and organized by Australian Flying Disc Federation. Perth, capital of Western Australia, is located in the southwestern part of the country.

WFDF's WU24 is scheduled from Sunday, January 7 – Saturday, January 13, 2018, at the UWA Sports Park in Perth.

The event was formerly called "Under-23" but did not properly convey the age limitation, so only ultimate players under (the age of) 24 will be allowed to play Down Under in 2018.

Per the announcement: "To follow the calendar WFDF cycle of events, WU24 was due to be hosted in 2017 but given the seasonal issues it is being held early in the next year. Nonetheless, the age eligibility criterion for the tournament will be based as if the event were in 2017. Accordingly, the WU24 is open to all players who are fourteen (14) years old or older and do not turn twenty-four (24) years of age during the calendar year 2017. Therefore anyone born before January 1, 1994, is not eligible to play."
