2011 Organizers Conference by USAU

USA Ultimate convened a very full 2-day conference for league organizers in DC this past weekend. There were nearly 100 registrants mostly from the US, and also Canada. The conference had sponsorship from FiveUltimate and SAVAGEUltimate - both handed out some serious amounts of schwag. Overall, a great opportunity to share best practices, lessons learned and network with fellow league organizers!

See the extensive presentation lineup at the very bottom. Some meeting highlights:

  • Real-time updates: #USAUoc
  • The difference between "play" vs "display" in sports (Keynote speaker Jay Coakley)
  • Ken Dobyns was there
  • The demo of the jumping “wrist-flip” [forehand] (Eric Sholom Simon)
  • Exciting future for Ultimate by USAU’s CEO (Tom Crawford)
