The 2018 college ultimate season is over. Division III and Division I were completed over the last two weekends in postseason tournaments hosted by USA Ultimate.
DIVISION III
A total of 32 teams competed in Rockford, IL, over May 19-20 for the Division III college ultimate championships.
MEN
Bryant Craze (#1) won 11-10 over Air Force. Bryant - "a small private university in the smallest state in the country" - posted a 26-2 during the 2018 season.
WOMEN
St. Olaf Vortex (#7) won 11-8 over Bates (#2). Vortex is one of two women's ultimate teams at St. Olaf College. St Olaf had lost to Bates by the score of 10-15 the day before in pool play.
DIVISION I
A total of 40 teams competed in Milwaukee over May 25-28 for the Division I college ultimate championships.
MEN
University of North Carolina Darkside (#2) won 14-10 [8-6 half] over Pittsburgh (#9); this is UNC Darkside's 2nd men's college ultimate championship in 4 years.
WOMEN
Dartmouth Princess Layout won 15-9 [8-5 half] over Colorado Kali; this is Dartmouth's 2nd consecutive women's college ultimate championship.
