Analysis: Captain America's Throw
Captain America shows super signs of promise in throwing his frisbee shield, yet needs some adjusting to play Ultimate.
Areas to improve:
* Step with your right foot when throwing with your right hand. [0:03 of vid]
* Catch & establish a pivot foot, & then throw. [0:17 of vid]
Positives:
+ Delivers the disc at chest height.
+ Puts lotsa spin on the disc.
+ Knows how to work the frisbee around.
+ Excellent follow-through.

Quidditch Frisbee
Less broomsticks, more frisbees!
Quidditch tournament caps off Hogwarts Week [IDS . 11.21.10]
There were two teams this year: “Orange” and “White.” Seven people were on each side.
The chasers played offense, and they tried to throw a Frisbee through the goal. A keeper on the opposing team blocked them. Beaters tried to throw dodgeballs at the chasers - they wanted to “knock them out.”
The golden snitch was a person wearing a yellow T-shirt who ran around [the dorm] and hid. Both team’s seekers tried to find the snitch.
“My favorite part was when I looked behind me and saw the snitch running,” sophomore Jennifer Lynch said. “No one else saw.”
Because there was extra time, two rounds of Quidditch were played. There was no
clear winner.
“Our sport is not to be confused with the International Quidditch Association sport,” Runion said. “Ours is different with different rules. RPS frowns upon the use of broomsticks. It’s a safety hazard.”
Runion said she was happy with this year’s turnout for the Quidditch tournament and Hogwart’s Week.
“It was fantastic,” Lynch said. “Any excuse to dress up or do something crazy is good in my book.”

Field of Dreams
A visual How-To on setting up your Ultimate field atop an existing lined football field.
Remember: The Ultimate field is the same length as an American football field, yet ~13.5 yards skinnier. Ultimate's endzones =25 20 yards; football = only 10 yards.
1. Start in one end zone corner and pace out 5 yards along the the end zone sideline & then pace 13.5 yards onto the field. Drop one cone for the start of your sideline.
2. Set cones at the 15-yard line on each side of the field for 20-yard endzones.
3. Line up the 4 cones to ensure this sideline is straight.
4. Use the sidelines for the rest of your field.

Kids Eat for FRisbEEs!
Jen provides the highlight of their summer...
The Reilly crew headed to Ocean City, Maryland (to perfect their beach-playing speed & form for OBX 2011) and were pleasantly surprised by Fish Tales on the bay. Not only were the tables in the sand (no shoes, more service!), but there was a huge Fish Tales-staffed pirate ship jungle gym for the kids to play on while the parents sipped sipped Skinny Margaritas and Dirty Bananas.
And the deal sealer? The "Lil Skipper" meals were served on Fish Tales frisbees they could take home (!!). Once they returned home, the Reilly kids got hungry during a play session and took a bite out of one of the frisbees (see below). But, it still flies incredibly well--especially at the beach.
