The United States ultimate teams have dominated; collectively winning 25 gold medals (61%) out of the 41 tournament final matches.
Five (5) different countries have won a gold medal during the last 13 events. The first WUC event occurred in 1983 featuring just men and women divisions while the most recent tournament in 2012 hosted 5 divisions.
- Five countries have won a gold medal — Canada, Finland, Japan, Sweden and the United States.
- United States and Canada are the only countries to have won more than ten (10) gold medals.
- United States is the only country to have won more than twenty (20) gold medals.
- 1983, 1986, 1998, 1990, and 1994 were "sweep" years for the U.S. teams by winning gold in all those year's available competition divisions.
- The United States is the only country to have won the gold medal in all 5 divisions.
Since 1998, WFDF has held 21 championship games across the divisions.
- Canada and USA have won 20 of the last 21 WUGC championship games.
- Canada has won 10 gold medals since 1998
